I am pleased that it is drawing cyclists to it. One of the other places I cycle - the CGB also seems to be attracting cyclists - good to see.Jmehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18078208384599353066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2864052595440250048.post-57504386354639060462011-10-30T21:50:48.695+00:002011-10-30T21:50:48.695+00:00Glad you found it Jme. I cycled along there today as well and it was a bit dull- but good to see lots of folk out on their bikes. There is something really special about the Lodes Way.Swaffham Bulbeck cyclistnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2864052595440250048.post-1208025206473695342011-10-30T17:22:20.064+00:002011-10-30T17:22:20.064+00:00I have visited the Spindle and taken some pictures...I have visited the Spindle and taken some pictures - not sure how they will look though as it is quite dull today (Sunday). Talking of shrubs, whilst out on a POETS ride of my own yesterday, I noticed some spindle (Euonymous). It's a native hedgerow shrub with beautiful pink berries (that might make a good pic!). I have rarely seen it in these parts which is why it caught my eye. It forms part of the hedgerow on the little lane 100 yards or so after the new Swaffham B. Lode Bridge heading north on the left. (Also, in that area, 300 yards or so further along on the right as you head north, you may have also noticed a v. rare mature elm tree that has somehow survived Dutch Elm disease - it's the tree nearest the lane in that belt forming the field boundary).Swaffham Bulbeck cyclistnoreply@blogger.com
